The Universe, the world, the stratosphere is governed by laws. You’ve got the Law of Gravity – what comes up, must come down. The Law of Vibration – everything is made up of moving particles and the Law that we will focus on today – The Law of Attraction – you create what you think about.

Recently we have been looking at what isn’t working in people’s lives – from thoughts to habits and actions. Humans tend to err on the side of focusing on what isn’t working – and that is never a good place to start, because it creates more of the same! And that is when the importance of the Law of Attraction comes in!

Esther and Jerry Hicks are the gurus in Law of Attraction and state that nothing really shows up in your existence. You attract it. All of it.

So stop and take a look around you. In some shape, way or form – you have unknowingly and knowingly created the life you are in.

Can be a hard pill to swallow at times hey? Or are you pretty pleased with your manifesting efforts?

Now let’s delve a little deeper.

You know when you wake up feeling shitty, and 9 times out of ten your day will then proceed to be shitty? That is the Law of Attraction at play. Or when you decide to look for the good in the day – and you notice so many amazing things that you’ve never seen before? Again – Law of Attraction.

We create our own reality. The world around us, responds to the thoughts we have. Whatever you give your energy and attention to, will come back to you! So if you decide you’re going to have a shit day – you will. And if you decide that you’re going to look for the positives – you will.

And just like gravity, this Law is always in motion and creation. We create our reality everyday.

Now let me be clear here – just simply thinking ‘I’m going to be fit and healthy’ will not amount to much if you don’t move your arse off the couch. It will only get you so far! The thinking part will put opportunities in front of you aligned with what you are asking for.

To get the full deal, there is an extra step that a lot of people fail to take when they start using the Law of Attraction. You have to take inspired action! And that is the bit I love, and what the accountability groups (Meditate and Active) are designed around. Inspired aligned action towards the goals and talk you are feeding yourself.

Let’s unpack this further. Do it with me, if you’d like.

Think about something you really, really desire. Could be a baby? Could be to be fit and healthy? Or what about to save $1000?

  1. First step – clarify what it is that you want.

    Exercise three times per week

  2. Second step – why do you want to do this?

    So I feel healthy, vibrant and can play with my kids

  3. Third Step – what thoughts are unhelpful towards this goal?

    I can’t exercise, I don’t like exercise, I’m bored, What’s the point?

  4. Fourth Step – swap the negatives into positives

    I can exercise, I like some exercises, I’m challenged, I’m motivated (See the instant energy shift in just changing the language?)

  5. Fifth Step – Inspired Aligned Action

    On each Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will go for a walk for twenty minutes

 And then commit to doing it. So when the alarm goes off – instead of pressing snooze (which tells the Universe that being active isn’t really important to you) get out of bed and move. Whilst you’re walking tell yourself how amazing you feel, and the positives you are experiencing. Focus on the encouraging things you can do – not on the injured leg that you are carrying.

Motivation starts after you do.

There isn’t going to be a Christmas Elf standing at the end of your bed with a packet of motivation every morning that your alarm goes off. You have got to commit to you, talk the talk, and if you want an active goal, literally walk the walk.

When you take inspired, positive action – the Universe will hear you. And deliver. It may not be in the package that you requested – but the premise of it will be there nonetheless. And isn’t that what you wanted after all?
