Do you find that you set goals easily – maybe stick to them for a few weeks or months and then fall off the bandwagon?
The most common way people set goals, is through the Smart Goal Model – ‘I’ll do this, to achieve that, by this date’. Kind of dry and drab. And to be honest the time sensitive nature evokes fear and anxiety in people. But the biggest missing piece? No emotions/feelings are attached. And feelings matter. How we feel about something is the core element as to whether we work towards it. If a goal makes us feel crap and bored even reading it, the motivation is going to be the same.\
